Zen Shiatsu 2:
Ancient Art of Healing Touch
(12 hours)
April 12 & 13, 2025 (6 hours each day)
Taught by Yoshi Nakano (Instructor since 1989)
This nonverbal and non-dualistic touch communication is derived from the metaphysical, mammalian relationship between mothers and their babies. We will explore spiraling universal forces through touch meditation to allow for nature’s grace, growth, expansion, and renewal.
After review and practice the basic foundation of Zen Shiatsu 1, we will introduce:
- Touch Palpation Skills and Major Acupoints and Meridians
- Two hands unificational bilateral Touch from Hara.
- Nine different hand positions to support dynamic therapeutic touch.
- How to collaborate Dispersive Paternal Hand (removing Qi blockages) with Receptive Maternal Hand (restoring the vital source of Qi).
Transformative touch meditation practices help improve sleep and unwind body-mind disturbances to reset the autonomic nervous system and internal homeostatic systems, for the mutual well-being of givers and receivers. Benefits can extend beyond, to families and communities. Sessions take 45-60 minutes or more, and can be used as a foundation for any bodywork practice including Shiatsu, massage and yoga therapy. Zen Shiatsu is a natural home(coming) remedy for everyone, anywhere, anytime without any special tools or products.
Our happiness depends on our guts!
All participants are required to complete a Zen Shiatsu Basic foundation program.
